If the main applicant acquires the visa with their family, the income and savings requirements increase by 50% for a spouse and 30% for each child. Additional amounts should be demonstrated as follows:

  • monthly income — €460 for a spouse and €276 for each child;
  • savings — €5,520 for a spouse and €3,332 for each child.

Applicants must also secure accommodation by purchasing or renting a property in Portugal for the duration of their residence permit. In case of purchasing real estate, the applicant pays a stamp duty, a transfer tax, and an annual municipal property tax.
